Formal!!!
A lot of people have trouble with deciding what to wear to a formal event. Here are the steps for finding the perfect dress for you!
Step 1: Find a style that you like, but remember to be open to other options.
Step 2: Pick a store that is within your price range, because there's no use in finding a dress you love and then disappointing yourself when you can't afford it.
Step 3: Find colors that you like, if you like pink, find a dress with some pink in it. Remember that just because there's no dresses in your favorite color, doesn't mean that you can't find something that will make you feel wonderful about yourself.
Step 4: Make sure that the dress that you are going to buy, is something that you really like, and that you're not just getting it because you're sick of trying on dresses.
Step 5: If you aren't very in to dresses, get a pretty skirt or maybe some very dressy pants.
The next process is finding shoes and accessories that look good with your outfit but still fit your personality. Here are the steps for finding the perfect shoes and accessories for you!
Step 1: Find shoes that you're comfortable walking in, not being able to walk in your shoes can ruin the whole look of your dress!
Step 2: If you want to wear sneakers with your dress, do it! It really is all about self-expression. Who cares what other people think!
Step 3: When you find your accessories, remember that you don't need to be really blingy. Sometimes, a natural and plainer look can look the best!
The final process is finding a hairdo that will accent your face shape and your dress!
Step 1: Have a general idea of what you want your hair to look like
Step 2: Find pictures on the Internet that you like and print them
Step 3: Show the pictures you printed to the person who's doing your hair
Step 4: Embrace their ideas, but if you really don't like something they're telling you that they are going to do, don't be afraid to say something. Just be nice about it.
Step 5: Once your hair is done, put on your dress and add your accessories! You'll look fabulous and the important thing is that you'll feel even better than you look!
Love ya'll lots!

Too old?
Hi, everyone! It's Charline! I wanted to confront this problem that many people have, this post isn't going to be very long but I know that many of you will probably be able to relate. :-) A lot of people look at an article of clothing or an accessory and say "It's cute, but I'm too old."
You can wear whatever you want, you need to dress for you, not for others. If you want to wear a pair of light-up shoes, power to you! Wear what you want, because it doesn't matter what others think of you! If you want to wear a tee-shirt with a cartoon on it that you haven't watched since you were four, power to you!
Be who you want to be because you have to be pleased with yourself before others are pleased with you. Like I said, short and to the point!
Lots of love,
Charline

Halloween!
Hi, everyone! This post is going to be about Halloween, my favorite holiday! I don't like the scary aspect of Halloween, but I love that you get to see people's personalities on Halloween. If a little girl is dressed as a certain princess, you think that must be her favorite princess. Or when someone is dressed as a singer it usually means they like that singer. I personally like Halloween because on Halloween I get to feel beautiful. I look in the mirror and go "Who is this and what did you do with Char?" Because I get to look however I want to look, no matter what I want to look like. Halloween is another thing to add to the list of things that aren't fashion related and really a chance to express yourself. I know most people already have their costumes picked out, but if you don't, here are some ideas!
1. Witch
2. Cat
3. Singer
4. Actress/Actor
5. The opposite gender (If you're a girl, dress as a boy and vice versa)
6. Dress with your BFF! (Ketchup and mustard, salt and pepper, peanut butter and jelly, etc.)
7. Be a character that you haven't thought about since you were a kid!
8. Butterfly
9. Lady Bug
10. Bumblebee
I hope this list helped! I know that a lot of people have found their costume but they don't know how to do their makeup or hair. It really IS about self expression, if the girl on the package has a complicated style, do something that you know how to do! It will look fabulous no matter what. You could also get a wig designed for a specific Halloween costume.
Makeup is even easier! If your Halloween costume is something classic, you can probably find a makeup kit that is designed just for your costume (or something similar)! If you can't find a kit and the costume is mostly one color, use those colors in your makeup! Or if you have absolutely no idea what to do with the makeup after these tips, look up some pictures online! I guarantee you'll find some that show exactly what you're looking for!
Hugs and kisses,
Charline

Hair!
Hi every one! How ya doin'? Today I figured we would talk about hair. Lots of people don't know what color to dye their hair, or how to do their hair or even what to put in their hair!
Coloring Your Hair
When you color your hair, it's always best to go to a hair salon to get it done. Dying your hair from a box can damage your hair REALLY badly. And most of the time when it comes from a box it A) Is the wrong color for you and/or B) It doesn't turn out the color from the box (Brown comes out purple, black comes out blue, etc.) So I highly recommend going to a hair salon!
The best way to decide on a hair color is to go with something similar to what your natural color is and go gradually darker or lighter as time goes on. That will make it easier to find a color that you like; instead of just getting what you think you like and then it turns out that you don't like it after all.
If you don't want to completely change your look and you just want to spruce it up a little, highlighting your hair is amazing! It's also a really good option for younger girls who want to look slightly older but don't necessarily want to dye it.
Hope this helped with the process of dying your hair!
Hair Styles
Hair styles are another example of self expression, everyone likes doing something different. Here are some great ideas for easy hairstyles!
2nd Day Hair: If your hair doesn't look so great the second day but you don't have time to wash it, here are some hairstyles to help save your day! The easiest style is definitely the ponytail. You can also spice it up by braiding part of your hair and then pulling it back along the side of your head and incorporating it into your ponytail. Another great style is the braid, there are so many different kinds (Some easier than others) and they are all guaranteed to make a greasy hair day, so much better!
Wet hair: You have to leave like right now and your hair is still wet! What to do, what to do. Here are some great ideas! First: The lazy bun. It's just like a ponytail except that on the last tug through the rubber band, don't pull it all the way through. The next option is the braid again. The other option that I recommend is the classic bun. The classic bun is something that is very hard to accomplish. But I have found the ultimate save for your classic bun! It's called the doughnut, you'll see why. Here's the link to purchase your very own! http://www.claires.com/store/goods/Tweens/cat1170028/Dance-Teams/p23013/Oversized-Hair-Donut/
Uncooperative Hair: Sometimes it's best on these kinds of days just to throw your hair up
Wanting to try something different: Most people think that it's silly to use a straightener on straight hair, or a curly on curly hair or a crimper on wavy hair. But it's not! For the people with straight hair, using a straightener will make your hair look glossy and fuller. For people with curly hair, using a curler will define your curls and make them look like you spent hours shaping them. For people with wavy hair, using a crimper will add definition to your waves!
Hair Accessories
I know that I say that a lot of stuff is about self expression, but they are! This growing list includes hair accessories. Some people like classic headbands or little clips, while others like flashy and sparkly. The hair accessory makes the outfit! Here are some examples of hair accessories that I love!

Jewelry!!!!
Hey!! Charline here, and today I thought that we could talk about jewelry. Jewelry is like nail polish, it's letting a little bit of the true you out! With jewelry, a little goes a long way! That was the inspiration for my ten point rule:
Ten Point System:
The Ten Point System is pretty simple, and it's a definite trick to looking fabulous! Each piece of jewelry counts for one point, your shoes count for one point unless they are absolutely fabulous (Patterns, sparkles, large decorations) then they are worth two points. If you wear glasses all the time they are worth one point. Big headbands and hair clips are also worth a point a piece. Pretty much any accessory is worth a point or two :) Everything has to add up to ten points or less. Here's a list:
Glasses: 1 point
Hair Clip: 1 point
Headband: 1 point
Plain Shoes: 1 point
Fabulous Shoes: 2 points
Necklace: 1 point
Bracelet: 1 point
Ring: 1 point
Patterned Tights: 1-3 points
Patterned Shorts/Pants: 1-3 points
Remember, when in doubt count it out!
Selecting jewelry should be fun, don't worry about what everyone else thinks about it. If you want to wear mismatched earrings, do it! You should be happy with what you look like, you shouldn't be worried about making others happy with what you look like. Remember, me confident with your sassy self (Whether the sassy shows or is hidden inside, everyone has a little hidden sass) and don't worry about what every one else thinks about you.

Foundation!
Hi! Today we'll be talking about finding the perfect foundation color for your skin! It's important to find just the right color or you could either A) Look like a ghost or B) Look like an orange. Here's the steps to success in the foundation department.
Step 1: Find your general color (Light or dark)
Step 2: Find several colors in that area that look similar to your skin tone
Step 3: Remember, you can try as many colors as you want!
Step 4: Many people test foundations on their hands, that is not the way that you want to do it! Test it on your chest, and if your chest is a different color than your face, test it on your chin.
Step 5: If the color looks somewhat orangey, go lighter. If it makes you look like a ghost, go darker. Remember, finding the right foundation for you is trial and error. It also helps if you bring someone along with you, because you can't always see if a certain foundation is right for you, but someone else certainly can.
Application:
There are many things that you can use to apply foundation, they make brushes, makeup sponges and some people like to use their hands. I use my hands because it's easier to blend. Use whatever you have and put it on your face and lightly on your neck so that you don't have a line. Also, you don't want streaks, so beware! Be careful to blend it as well! And remember, less is more!
Lots Of Love,
Charline

Blushing Beauty
Today we'll be talking about blush. It's probably not going to be a long one, but here goes nothin'!
Blush
Blush is something that a lot of people have so many problems with. You can do anything from skin colors to bright pinks and reds. I reccomend picking something that is going to look like a natural flush color, maybe baby pink, but not too bright. Everyone has different tastes in blush so I can't give links, becuase finding colors and brands for everybody's tastes would take a week! I can give application tips though!
Applying Blush
1. You need a fluffy, dense blush. When you go to the store most likely asking someone where you can find a "Blush Brush" should do the trick.
2. SMILE! It's easier to apply blush when you're smiling. :-D
3. Place the blush brush on the apple of your cheek.
4. Starting from the roundest portion of the apple of your cheek, and tap towards your temple
5. Swoosh from the apple of your cheek to the temple to blend in the blush and make it look more natural
6. If it's too light, wash it off and try again. If it's to dark, you can either use a buffing brush to swipe some of it off or you can put a translucent powder over the top, doing so will also help set your makeup.
If you have any questions comment below!

Fashion Disaster- Averted!
Bonjour! How are ya'll? So today I'm going to tell you how to avoid fashion disasters before they happen!
Disaster One:
The panty flash (duh-duh-duuunnnnnnnn)
No one wants this to happen! I've seen this happen many a time, and there isn't really a sure-fire way to prevent it. All I can say is, ladies, if it's windy or you are moving swiftly, hold down your skirt! And when they make an invention to keep it down, I will notify you!
Disaster Two:
The bra blunder:
Easily one of the most horrifying and humiliating wardrobe malfunctions, EVER! There are several ways to prevent this. One way is to wear something that fits on top, but that doesn't always fix it. The second way is to safety pin tops if they don't fit perfectly on top. Good luck!
Disaster Three:
The Stumble!
The stumble happens to the best of us, no matter what shoes we're wearing or how careful we are. The best way to prevent it is to wear shoes that you can walk in! It doesn't matter how cute they are, if you can't walk in them, the cuteness is lost, and you will most likely suffer some sort of injury. Another way is to watch where you step, and make sure to keep your ankles straight or you could sprain them or something worse.
Disaster Four:
VPL
VPL stands for visible panty line, and it is an easy fix! Some people say thongs (Ugh) I say to test several different pairs of underwear with the same outfit to see if certain pairs look better than others. Here are the most common outfit choices they can show up in: Leggings, Sweats, yoga pants and cotton dresses. Sometimes they show in jeans, so beware!
Disaster Five:
Sheer Horror
When you're wearing a shirt that is slightly sheer or completely sheer, wear a tank top! It is not cute for your bra to be seen through your shirt! 'Nuff said...
Disaster Six:
The Mismatch!
Okay, there are many things that do not go together. Simple Rules, different patterns don't go together. Here's a list of colors that should never be together:
Navy blue and black (Unless it's jeans)
Yellow and red
Brown and black
There are many different colors but those were off of the top of my head. Remember, if it looks questionable, it's best to ask someone.
Disaster Seven:
The blister!
When you wear shoes for the first time, even if they're just uncomfortable shoes usually give you blisters! They sell moleskin at craft stores that you put in the back of any shoes to prevent blisters. if the shoes fit perfectly, the moleskin may make them a little small.
Good luck avoiding these disasters and many others!
Lots of love,
Charline

Lots of love,
Charline

Hi, Fashionistas! Today we're going to be talking about clothes, not just any clothes, slimming clothes. I don't think that anyone really needs slimming clothes, but someone asked me to write about them. Hi, you-know-who-you-are! I can't really predict what will slim you without seeing you, but here are ten tips and tricks to make you feel great about the way you look!
1. Black is very slimming, just don't go overboard ;)
2. Belts usually look great on the waistline while wearing a sundress
3. Cardigans are slimming and super cute!
4. High waisted skirts make your legs look longer and your waist look smaller :)
5. Fitted blazers are professional, cute and slimming! If you have one in your closet, remove the shoulder pads and you're ready to go!
6. A deep v-neck empire dress elongates the torso, therfore making you look slimmer!
7. Dresses and shirts with detailed necklines draw the attention away from your hips and tummy, attracting people to your pretty face :-)
8/ Bootcut jeans! Just because skinny jeans are "in" right now, doesn't mean you have ot compromise your wonderful curves in order to wear them!
9. Layers make you look smaller, such as: Jeans, a v-neck tee with a colorful tank and a cute cropped jacket!
10. Long necklaces or scarves slim your appearance and make lots of outfit combos!
